I have only photographed one other Manchester city centre wedding before and it was a while ago, so I was so excited when Tom and Sinead got in touch and asked me to photograph their wedding at new wedding venue Manchester Hall. City people through and through Sinead and Tom planned their day to perfection and it was them to a tee.
WOW WOW WOW, Where do I start? Every wedding I photograph is special to me in a different way but Emily and Mark's wedding in Italy is just something that I will never forget and will remain with me for a very long time.
Lawrence and Sarah - where do I start? Well, I guess the first thing that I need to say is that their wedding day was just perfect. From the start they had said to me that they wanted it to be one big party and that's exactly what it was - everyone had fun from beginning to end, including me. I consider my style of photography as being fairly laid back and it suited this wedding day down to the ground.
The wonderful Katy and Matt booked me to photograph their wedding ages ago - well it feels like that any way, and as soon as they mentioned the venue I was excited! I had heard and seen many wonderful things about Owen House and it didn't disappoint, but more about that later.
On a beautifully Sunny day in May I headed over to Harrogate for the wedding day of Claire and Adam. Claire and Adam have a very cute story in the fact that they have known each other since primary school, but didn't actually become a couple until they were 18 and this year is their 10 year anniversary.
Let me just start by saying that this wedding had the MOST amazing wedding dress I have ever seen. Matt from Worthington Films will be testament to the fact that I actually cried a teeny bit when I hung it for the first time, SO up my street! So with that little intro no need to say that the rest of the day was just so beautiful.
Even though the stunning wedding venue - Eaves Hall is literally on my door step, just two minutes from Clitheroe - I have never shot a wedding there! So when Sarah and Barry enquired I was obviously very excited and even more so when they booked.
When Harry and Meghan announced their wedding date, I quickly checked my diary and sure enough I had my very own Royal wedding that date and I knew that Stephen and Nicola wouldn't disappoint!
It's not every day that I get to photograph the wedding of one of my oldest friends (and be a guest at a wedding!) So when Jessica asked me to photograph her and Paul's wedding I was absolutely honoured. Jess and I went to secondary school and college together - so I was preparing for this to be an emotional one!
Well Sarah and Will's wedding definitely wins the award for most varied weather in one day! Wow, we had sun, blue skies, -10c, 40 mph winds and soooo much snow. That aside it was such a beautiful day!
Emma and Rob are one of the sweetest couples I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, its just easy to see how much they love and care for each other.
Two years ago I had the wonderful privilege of photographing one of the first weddings to take place at Wyresdale Park in Scorton and even back then I completely fell in love with the venue. Two years later along with many wonderful additions I was lucky enough to photograph the gorgeous wedding of Emma and Nick.
Tipi weddings are all the rage at the moment and people absolutely love the boho backdrop, the festival vibe and the ability to be able to do just about anything they want with their wedding. You can personalise decor, timings, catering and make it all completely your own.
It was just a pleasure and a delight to photograph Matthew and Sarah on their wedding day in April - they didn't stop smiling and laughing and the sun shone (yes the sun shone!) all day which made me smile (a lot!!!)
Well, I did it, I finally went on a wedding photography workshop - and it was mega! Not going to lie, as I walked down to Holmes Mill in Clitheroe with my rucksack on and laptop in my bag I felt as though I was walking to school on my first day - bricking it!
Yikes, last weekend I went to my first ever Wedding Open Weekend as an exhibitor. The weekend was held by Big Chief Tipis at the stunning Dorfold Hall in Cheshire.
Amanda is possibly one of the loveliest Bride's I have ever had the pleasure of photographing, so when she asked I would photograph her and Andy's wedding day I was super chuffed. They make such an amazing couple and even better for me they are so chilled out and love to party!
Anna and Dan's wedding day was so much blummin fun. They had an ice cream bicycle, a darts and pool competition - with actual darts shirts and a hilarious game of Mr and Mrs. I loved it from beginning to end!
Back in June I met this gorgeous pair on Liverpool Docks for their pre-wedding shoot and we got on like a house on fire, so I couldn't wait for their big day!
These two are just adorable. Lorraine and Ste are like a match made in heaven and they didn't stop smiling for the entire day. I pitched up in the morning and Lorraine was getting ready in the new Owl's Nest at the Swan Hotel, Newby bridge. The cottage was amazing - take a look here you can book for a self catering break. All the decor went perfectly with Lorraine's blush pink vintage theme.
Lisa and George are such a sweet couple, we clicked as soon as we met on their pre-wedding shoot and had a great laugh. I'd heard so many great things about Rudding Park near Harrogate but to be honest, you have to see this venue to believe it, its gorgeous. It's so visually beautiful inside, from the furnishings to the decor, every corner I turned I was wowed. If you are looking for a beautiful hotel wedding venue this is for you!
Isn't it lovely that the days are starting to get longer, and the skies are starting to look a little bit like this; blue and just beautiful! On the 8th April 2017 I was lucky enough to be invited along to the wedding of Jenna and Andy.
On a cold crisp winter's morning (after sleeping in a shepherds hut!) I woke up to join Katie and Michael on their wonderful wedding day at The Yorkshire Wedding Barn, Gilling West. It was a stunning morning so I started early, taking pictures in my pyjamas (doesn’t happen at every wedding) and it was a fantastic day.
