Longridge House
Gorgeous Autumn Styled Shoot
So I will start this post with saying I have been photographing weddings for about 14 years, 10 of those full time and in all that time I have never done a styled shoot. Mainly due to time constrictions and me being a little bit on the scaredy cat side when it comes to stuff like this. I am so much more comfortable hiding behind the camera at real weddings and focusing on natural moments happening.
Anyway, Lee at the Bridal Lounge in Clitheroe asked me to get involved and she is just the most amazing woman and I love her boutique in Clitheroe (if you have never been she has such a unique and stunning selection of dresses, so many of my brides are BLC brides.) So I thought I should stop being a d*ck and go for it.
Leanne from the Sweetest Thing Cakery was at the helm of all the concept and what a job she did, beautiful browns, insane styling by Amore Stylists and the florals, I can’t even, pulled together by Emily the Florist who was just a joy to meet - finally!
Here is the full list of suppliers that worked on the shoot just so that I don’t miss anyone off!
Dresses: Bridal Lounge Clitheroe Venue: Longridge House, Florals: Emily the Florist, Styling and props: Amore Event Stylist, Stationary: (the best) Kate Illustrate, Food and Savouries: Katy and co catering, Jewellery: Sarah Layton Jewellers, Hair and Makeup: Make Up By Keira Wilson, Bridal Hair by Romy Jade, Nails: Pure Perfection Rawtenstall, Cake and Desserts: The Sweetest Thing Cakery, Models: Hollie Aspinall and Heloisa and Marco.
All of the below images are by me, obvs but I also had the pleasure of working with a lovely creative team including Aimee Rose weddings (photographer) and some lovely content creators too, Reel Moments, Reel Love Content and Tee Casey Content.
So firstly let’s just discuss how bloody gorgeous Longridge House is. I have photographed a wedding there previously, years and years ago when it was Ferraris, but it is un-recognisable. From the minute you walk in the attention to detail with the design is phenomenal. My first impression was I wish this was what my house looked like. Whoever did the interior design, Bravo. So here’s a few little snaps of the actual hotel.
The bridal prep shots were taken in room 13 and 14 as the wedding suite wasn’t ready yet but I have no doubt it’s going to be stunners. The first set up that we photographed was in the Library, a beautiful space which would be amazing for intimate weddings or elopements/ micro weddings (my fave!) Also can we just take a moment for the most beautiful bathrooms known to man. If you get married here we are going in the toilets.
Just to add, this shoot was done in October in the late afternoon, so you will notice quite a lot of flash in some of the pictures and it’s also why it’s a bit darker than it might be in Summer for example, but its a vibe right!
How gorgeous is the cake and the mini cakes - heavenly!
We didn’t head outside as it was raining quite badly and the dresses were on-loan. But the grounds will be just as beautiful as the inside when they are finished. It’s also good to know though that if you have your wedding at Longridge House and it is raining there are plenty of places inside for wedding portraits and the internal backdrop is stunning.
The Sweetest Thing Cakery are doing this scrummy brunch for brides to order on the morning of their wedding. Imagine waking up to enjoy this before your wedding, delightful.
