Super cool Summer Lake District Wedding

Summer wedding at Merewood Country House

Wow, Wow, Wow. What a day this was - Steph and Tom had the coolest wedding at The Merewood Country Hotel in the Lake District. Steph who is a menswear designer (which you can totally tell as she oozes style) and Tom who also has a super cool job live in Amsterdam, however Steph is from Preston so they made the decision to get married in the Lake District.

Firstly can we talk about Steph’s stunning dress. It is so unique and suited her down to the ground. By designer Anna Kara Steph bought it at BRAUTBLUTE in Dusseldorf. The bridesmaids dresses also looked insane in various styles and colours chosen by them with shoes carefully chosen to match by Steph.

When I showed up in the morning the guys were on their way out for a lake swim whilst the weather was showing up in true authentic style for the Lake District - cloud and drizzle. But, to be fair to the guys they didn’t let it stop them and we headed down to the lake for a dip.

When I got back up to Merewood Sam from Freerange Floristry was cracking on with the flowers which were nothing short of amazing. I’ve honestly never seen anything like them, bravo my friend, bravo. Steph and Tom actually got married in Amsterdam a few weeks before so the ceremony was performed by a close friend who did beautifully. It was really heartfelt and funny in all the right places! Never in a million years did I think we would end up outside according to the forecast and the weather in the morning but as we walked out of the ceremony room the weather dried up and we spent the rest of the afternoon outside. Steph had made this insane backdrop board - she’s a clever sausage!

After some food and speeches we popped down to the lake for some sunset pics - yes sunset - who’d have thought!
